About the role
The University of Plymouth is looking to appoint a Technician to provide technical support within the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences (SoGEES). You will have a HNC, NVQ/BTEC level 3-4 or equilvalent in a reslevant subject area and have experience with systems, equipment/instrumentation, processes and procedures relevant to basic instrument analysis. The position requires sufficient knowledge to work without direct or continuous reference to others, experience of samples collection, sample preparation and training others in basic laboratory techniques. Desirable criteria include knowledge of ICP-OES and/or MS.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for approximately 9-12 months to cover a period of maternity/adoption leave.
