We are seeking an exceptional Director of People to advance the University’s people strategy and shape an inclusive, high‑performing culture that underpins our academic ambitions, in support of the University’s Strategy 2030.
The RoleAs a member of the University Executive Group, you will provide strategic direction and expert insights across all people‑related matters. You will ensure the University’s workforce is supported, engaged and enabled to deliver excellence in teaching, research, and across technical and professional services. As a key member of the University’s senior team, you will work in partnership across faculties and professional services, contributing proactively to institutional strategy and decision‑making.
The Director of People will have overall responsibility for the HR Directorate, including HR Business Partnering, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Development, HR Operations, and Health and Safety.

Develop and deliver a forward‑looking cross-institutional people strategy aligned to the University’s long‑term ambitions, including in relation to business transformation.
