About the role
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated administrator to join the University’s Academic Registry directorate. The Academic Registry’s primary function is to oversee and deliver a broad range of services, which support and enhance the University’s academic mission, acting as a key enabler for the delivery of its Education and Student Experience Strategy.
The Academic Registry is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Doctoral College Administrator to undertake a challenging and rewarding role, providing effective, customer focused, comprehensive and responsive academic administrative support for postgraduate research degree students within all Faculties and offering guidance in a professional manner while assisting in the operation of our Doctoral College functions.
Reporting to the Senior Admissions Administrator (Doctoral College), you will work alongside other members of this busy and friendly team. The primary functions of the post are to provide administrative support for enquiries, applications, enrolment and progress monitoring, submission, examination and completion of studies of research degree students from all areas within the University.
You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to the University, including academic and professional services, such as other members of the Academic Registry, Student Administration and the Doctoral College, Faculty’s Deputy Directors of the Doctoral College and School Research Degree Coordinators.
What we’re looking for
You will need to have excellent communication and team working skills together with a meticulous eye for detail, the ability to use your own initiative and to think critically.
Knowledge of and experience in the postgraduate research sector is desirable.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

This is a part-time position working 27 hours a week until December 2025 to cover a period of absence. The working pattern is Tuesday 6 hours; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7 hours each day. Remote working is available up to 1 day a week.
Due to confidentiality issues, this position is not suitable for existing UoP research degree students.
