This role is funded through the STEM Graduates into Business project which is supported by a 3-year investment from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The Project Manager will be the main contact for all issues relating to the Graduates into Business project which will operate in the Heart of the SW area. You will be the key accountable lead for the project, ensuring compliance with ERDF funders and contract requirements, preparing delivery and implementation plans, ensuring robust, efficient and lean systems are in place for SME engagement, establishing and supporting a project board, working with a wide range of strategic partners to ensure outreach to the business community including recruiting SMEs to the project, managing and reporting on all the funding elements of project. Working with other HEIs and promoting the project to the Heart of the South West business and wider community.
This is an exciting and challenging role making a difference to SMEs in the SW and supporting graduates into employment. You will have a background in HE employer engagement and liaison (including placements), together with strong organisational and project management skills and an ability to proactively network and market the project across the region. You will be an excellent communicator who is passionate about graduate employability and recruitment and you will act as an employer engagement role model for the University of Plymouth and wider project board. You will be a natural self-starter with an ability to work autonomously, but as part of a wider dispersed network. You will be proactive, opportunistic and able to drive change and make things happen within a relatively short space of time. Day to day, the project manager will be situated as part of the University of Plymouth's Careers and Employability team. As such, you will also be a natural team worker and adept at making connections across the wider service and other professional services, including with Research and Innovation.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for 36 months due to funding.
