We are looking for two inspiring individuals to join the well-established Paramedic team at the University of Plymouth for a unique opportunity to contribute to the teaching, learning and research in Paramedic Sciences.
For the Associate Professor post we are looking for an experienced professional and academic to lead the academic team in Paramedicine at Plymouth. Our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practitioner programme was one of the first three year paramedic degree programmes and we have ambitions to expand our portfolio of paramedic science and practice programmes.
As a lecturer at the University of Plymouth, you will be expected to deliver excellent teaching, and ideally also contribute to the generation and transfer of knowledge through research; you will also provide excellent support for the students on our programmes.
You will be a registered paramedic with appropriate academic and/or professional experience. You will have an in depth understanding of contemporary experience of your profession and for the Associate professor we are looking for someone with relevant higher education experience and leadership qualities.
The research potential within the School is huge as we have collaboration possibilities within the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences as well as other faculties in the university. We also have established links with colleagues in the health and social care sector, the independent sector and private sector. The School has a growing number of registered PhD students and a growing research and enterprise portfolio.
