The School of Psychology at The University of Plymouth is seeking to appoint a new academic member of staff.
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer who will contribute to the teaching and research in any of applied psychology, though preference will be given to those who can contribute to the teaching of clinically-related topics at Undergraduate and Masters level, and who has the capacity to develop a strong research career.
We are looking to appoint a candidate who is enthusiastic about Psychology, who can provide excellent research-informed teaching for our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and who can enhance our research profile. This post is intended to support our teaching and research capacity in the area of clinical psychology and topics related to it, and so the appointment will be made on the academic pay scale: being a practicing Clinical Psychologist is not a requirement for this post.
For this post, there are opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of health professionals from both the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, and the Medical School. In particular, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our existing teaching team who support our Doctorate programme in Clinical Psychology.

You should be qualified to PhD level or equivalent in Psychology or a related discipline, and be able to demonstrate the capacity to deliver teaching and research excellence.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
