In return, we offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits, including ongoing development opportunities.
The School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics within the Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking to appoint up to two posts to strengthen and complement its teaching and research activity in cybersecurity. Home to the Centre for Security, Communications and Network Research (CSCAN) and the Maritime Cyber Threats Research Group, the School has a longstanding and vibrant research environment, recently graduating its 100th doctoral student, and is active across national and internationally funded projects. It also supports specialist degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in addition to supporting the wider computing programmes and subject area.
You must be able to demonstrate a significant commitment to, and experience in teaching & learning. You will be expected to contribute to the school's undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which may involve summer schools, internationalisation activities (including overseas delivery opportunities) and other widening participation activities. You will also be expected to take part in curriculum development and course management as required.
You should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate a track-record in research. It is highly desirable that your research expertise will align to or complement one of the School's two cybersecurity research groups.
