The University has ambitious sustainability goals and declared a climate emergency in June 2019 accelerating our carbon commitments and committing to achieving net zero emissions by 2025 for our direct emissions. The Data Analyst will form an integral part of this, analysing our building performance data to drive down energy use.
To perform this role to a high standard, you will have grounded skills in data manipulation and analysis, understanding of fundamental computational and statistical techniques and is passionate about climate change and wants to leverage this data to drive energy management in buildings. The role will involve using and accessing data in existing software systems including our C3NTINEL, our energy monitoring and targeting software, and in our Building Management Systems (BMS).
The position is based on Main campus with some homeworking considered.
The role is based in the Sustainability team, reporting into the Energy Manager, and will work closely with our BMS Manager and maintenance colleagues. You will also work closely with colleagues on the Low Carbon Devon project, and the School of Art, Design & Architecture, who are researching energy use and energy demand reduction in non-domestic buildings.
