An exciting opportunity is available for a driven and resilient individual to join the professional services department of the Faculty.
You will contribute to the delivery of customer focused, cost effective and efficient administrative support of the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The School is based across multiple sites in Plymouth, Exeter and Cornwall as a part an expanding, developing and enthusiastic team. Each team member seeks to enhance the student and stakeholder experience throughout their time with University of Plymouth.
You will work with Senior Academics and a team of programme administration staff of varying grades to support the programmes, with particular reference to curriculum delivery, assessment and servicing of committees and meetings. This will include liaising with internal and external stakeholders, co-ordinating placement allocation activity, maintaining student records & assessment data, resolving assessment issues, attending, organising and minuting meetings, updating programme documents & providing programme data as required for contract monitoring purposes. It is anticipated that the role will work closely with the Senior Administrator (Placements). You will have some responsibility for site co-ordination as appropriate. You will provide support to the Faculty Registrar and Assistant Faculty Registrar in addition to providing strategic direction and management of the team.
The role is currently based on the main University Campus. Travel between sites may be required.
You will have proven and demonstrable experience of leading, developing and managing a team, particularly in the context of multi-site working and a change environment. You will also need to have experience of operating effectively as a leader (and member) of an administrative team within a customer service environment. A flexible, proactive and resilient attitude in an ever-changing environment will be vital, alongside organisation skills, excellent IT skills (including spreadsheets and databases), the ability to proactively identify and seek resolutions to problems, and the ability to work within tight deadlines. Good communication skills, teamwork and data reporting are essential.
Experience of working in a health, medical or education function/environment (or equivalent) would be desirable.
