The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Plymouth is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse(s) wishing to develop their career in an education setting - with proven ability in teaching, mentoring and coaching learners in clinical practice or in the clinical simulation setting. You would be working with our team of academic staff and skills demonstrators throughout the academic year in providing a high quality student experience in a clinical simulation activity to support their clinical development.
The new proposed Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses and Standards for Education and Training will bring both opportunities and challenges for the Nursing profession. The School of Nursing & Midwifery will be an early implementer of the new curriculum to prepare future nurses that are fit for purpose both now and in the future.
It is critical for the school to provide high quality education in supporting placement learning through developing the appropriate skills set in our students to become excellent future nurses.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications, registration on Sub Part 1 of the NMC register is essential and relevant post registration experience as an Adult Nurse.
This vacancy will involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults and any appointment will be subject to receipt of clearance for the Protection of Children from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
