The School of Art Design and Architecture provide a vibrant inter-disciplinary and collaborative environment dedicated towards producing graduates with the necessary applied knowledge and skills to meet the demands of employers today and tomorrow.
You will be part of the Faculty Technical team in the delivery and support within this Faculty. The areas in Fine Art and in Fine Print will be your responsibility for the correct use, organisation and compliance with Health and Safety. You will be responsible for supporting and demonstrating a wide range of skills and techniques in both of these disciplines to all stakeholders.
The role will facilitate the teaching & learning needs throughout the school via our diverse technical demonstration and facility support. You will be part of a large community of faculty technicians within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business.
We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Faculty Technical Team and take control over the workshop areas in Fine Art and Fine Print to ensure a safe working environment
You will have expertise in an Arts based subject area, although we require your specialism in Fine Art and Fine Print techniques.
You will demonstrate and contribute to the associated programmes in supporting students in both areas, helping all stakeholders in their aims and ambitions. Providing the highest level of support our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, ensuring materials are available, inductions are carried out for the safe use of equipment and providing a friendly cooperative place to study for our students.
The role requires a high level of autonomy and we are expecting you to work as a collegiate member of the technical team.
