Peninsula School of Medicine (PSM) is seeking an outstanding teaching-focussed Radiography Programme Lead. The education-focussed post holder will provide academic leadership and operational day-to-day management of the new BSc Diagnostic Radiography programme. Research activity will not be a mandatory part of the role but would be encouraged for appropriately qualified and motivated candidates by mutual agreement.
Ensuring a high quality student learning experience, you will work in close conjunction with colleagues in the Medical School and NHS in leading on the design, development and delivery of teaching and learning across the Radiography programme, and will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing and managing a cohort of tutors drawn from around the South West. Research activity will not be a mandatory part of the role but would be encouraged for appropriately qualified and motivated candidates by mutual agreement.
PSM works in close partnership with Derriford Hospital, the region's premier trauma centre and teaching hospital, and with a variety of community-based clinical partners. Within the post, a significant proportion of time is also devoted to clinical education research / pedagogic scholarship ambitions, focussed on enhancing our curricula and student experience. Although this is a full-time permanent position (working 37 hours per week / 1FTE), applications are welcome from practising radiographers wishing to maintain a level of clinical radiography practice to inform their contemporary educational practice.
