This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work at the interface between industry and academia to help drive the growth, productivity and resilience of the Creative Economy in the South West. You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of iMayflower - a GBP 6 million collaborative programme, designed to build Plymouth's Creative Industries and nurture creativity across the city.
Working as part of the Knowledge Exchange team within The Bridge, your responsibilities will include:
* Connecting with, and creating relationships between, University academics and businesses / organisations operating across key sectors; identifying opportunities for long-term and mutually beneficial collaboration.
* Leading the design and implementation of a new and highly innovative scheme to pair talented students with local businesses in in order to undertake a defined R&D challenge. Helping businesses drive the development of a new products, services and experiences whilst offering an unprecedented learning opportunity for our students.
* Working as part of our close-knit team to plan and deliver exciting networking and promotional events and other awareness-raising initiatives.
* Ensuring the successful delivery of iMayflower project objectives and KPIs.

Key knowledge and experience required for these roles:
* Demonstrable experience working in a Knowledge Exchange / Business Support role, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
* Working in the Creative Industries and/or Cultural Sector (including Heritage and Cultural Tourism).
* Working with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
* Cultivating cross-sector collaborations.
* Knowledge of the business support and innovation funding landscapes, and a relevant professional network of companies and stakeholders, would be an advantage.

Position 1: This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week
Position 2: This is a part-time position working 22.2 hours per week and potentially up to 1 FTE depending on the availability of funding.
