The University wishes to appoint a Digital Skills Developer to work within Academic Support, Technology and Innovation (ASTI). The team consists of Digital Skills Developers and Learning Technologists who work with both academic and professional services staff across the university to improve their digital capability and exploit the use of technologies.
You will work collaboratively to develop and deliver a programme of digital skills training for both academic and professional services support staff.
Your activities will include developing and delivering training courses and materials to support the implementation of university systems from the latest cloud-based applications for Microsoft Office 365 i.e. OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business and SharePoint sites for shared team storage, to the use of Moodle for academic staff delivering materials for teaching and learning.
You will have significant experience of training development and delivery using a variety of methods. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work as an effective member of a team. You will be adaptable to the demands of working in projects in an area of rapid change and development. You will be able to demonstrate self-leadership and an ability to move ideas into action.
Qualifications required are the equivalent of a level 6, H (Honours) in IT and Teaching or be able to demonstrate significant professional digital skills training experience.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week.
