KTP - Computer Data Scientist
Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Computer/Data Scientist to work on an innovative collaboration between Software Solved Limited and the University of Plymouth
The Role:
A unique opportunity for a recently qualified computer/data scientist to work on a joint project under Knowledge Transfer Partnership, between Software Solved Limited and
the University of Plymouth. The key objective of this role is to apply machine learning and computational intelligence to normalise numerous data sources to develop a predictive risk management tool for the Insurance sector.
The Candidate:
You will have a good first degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or other related fields. A higher degree related to machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics or big data or similar is desirable.
You will have proven knowledge in developing and coding machine learning algorithms and experience in software development, large-scale data analytics and development and application of machine learning methods.
Experience of working in industry is highly desirable as is experience in developing and delivering training and mentoring for other software developers. The ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience is also highly desirable.
You will be highly numerate with well-developed statistical skills and you will need to be methodical and tenacious with demonstrable written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lead a project from the technical/scientific perspective.
You will be thorough, analytical with good attention to detail and have the ability to work within ISO 9001, regulatory systems and be a good team player.

Software Solved were formed in 1998 and develop software, mobile cloud and data solutions, they are a Microsoft Gold Partner and all their processes are ISO 9001 compliant. They pride themselves on working closely with their clients to undertake software integration, application support or bespoke software development projects. They work across many sectors but have a particular focus on the Insurance industry where they develop risk management and claims handling software.
University of Plymouth:
