We are seeking a Communications Officer for the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Supergen Hub. You will be working within the COAST Research Group in the School of Engineering and also working closely with the Hub Co-Directors who are based at universities across the UK. You will develop and facilitate a programme of communication across various platforms to many stakeholders, to share the activities and achievements of the ORE Supergen Hub and promote our aims.
The role of the Supergen ORE hub is to provide research leadership for the ORE community to enable transformation to future scale ORE. The hub will articulate the vision for the future scale ORE energy landscape, will identify the innovations required and the fundamental research needed to underpin the innovation. It will also generate and support pathways for translation of research and innovation into industry practice, for policy adaptation and public awareness. Success of the ORE Supergen Hub will support the increased deployment of ORE technologies, reduce energy costs while increasing energy security, reduce CO2 emissions and support UK jobs.
A structured communication plan built around progress of the community towards the sector research challenges will widen participation in the hub and lead to greater awareness, exploitation and commercialisation of the work of the ORE Supergen Hub and the wider research community.
You will require specialist knowledge of web site management, development of material for traditional media, digital and social media and organisation of outreach and engagement events.
