Student Recruitment & Admissions is a key department within the University of Plymouth and following a refocus of some activities we are seeking to recruit to a new position of Business Development Officer (Data & Reporting Lead). This role will be integral to the success of the department and will operate with some autonomy within a small Business Development Team.
The role holder will have responsibility for sourcing and presenting data with relevant context and analysis on a number of operational and strategic areas relating to student recruitment, admissions, widening participation and other related areas. To achieve this, you should have excellent Microsoft Office skills as well as a passion for data and reporting that drives you to find trends and steer decision making with facts.
You should have experience of working with large and complex data sets via a range of tools and systems both under pressure and with time to explore in more detail. Knowledge of Higher Education processes would be an advantage but is not essential. Similarly, experience with Salesforce, UCAS and Unit-e would be an advantage but training will be made available if the appointed candidate is not experienced in these areas.
This is an opportunity to join a large, dynamic and exciting part of the University in a role that will be central to all projects and activities.
A degree is desirable but not essential to this post as long as demonstrable relevant experience can be evidenced by the right candidate.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week.
For further information about the post please contact Roland Monger, Business Development Manager by email roland.monger@plymouth.ac.uk or telephone 01752 584010.
Interviews are expected to take place in early February 2018.
