Senior Technician: Environmental Building
Description
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Technician for Environmental Building who supports the School of Art, Design and Architecture.
As a technician at University of Plymouth , you will be expected to support the provision of outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and knowledge
transfer. To support skills development amongst the University's students, in respect to both taught subjects and research. To ensure that technical support is of the highest standard to enable and enhance the employability of our students and the reputation of the Faculty, School and University. This position has a flexible working pattern that can involve evening, weekends and daytime curricula; this will be agreed with yourself and the technical manager.
You will work within a customer focused, cost effective and efficient support service and have experience within this environment. You will have a particular eye for detail and systems improvement, aligning this work with the wider student experience. As such flexibility, adaptability and resilience will be key.
You will have first class communication skills and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment, liaising with all stakeholders in the faculty. It will also be essential that you possess excellent organisational and inter-personal skills, pay high attention to detail and be adaptable to the demands of working in this facility.

This is a part-time, term-time position working 18.5 hours per week for 37 weeks of the year on a permanent basis.
