Next Steps South West are looking for strong communicators and team players with an interest in Outreach/Widening Participation to join the Devon team as a NSSW County Outreach Officer. You will have experience of working with diverse audiences and in particular young people.
This project is funded by the Office for Students (OfS) to promote higher education (HE) opportunities to students in schools and colleges where progression to HE is low. These roles offer a unique opportunity to support the work of a collaboration of partners, comprising 14 universities and FE/HE colleges in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
You will assist in the delivery of core outreach projects in Devon, in line with strategy and direction from the NSSW Devon Team Leader. Relationship-building with internal stakeholders is central to the role, especially with the other Next Steps Outreach Officers in the Devon team and those for Somerset and Cornwall. You will liaise with external stakeholders including target schools in Devon and other partner organisations.

We have a full-time position working 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and a part-time position working 22.2 (0.60 FTE) available. These are fixed-term positions until 31st July 2023 due to funding.
