Working within the Business Intelligence team in the Planning & Analytics Office (PAO), you lead the business engagement, technical design, development and delivery of a modern data infrastructure. This exciting new project will utilise the latest data lake and data warehousing components based on Microsoft’s Azure technology stack.
You will possess a degree in a quantitative discipline and hold a relevant professional accreditation. You will have significant experience of working in a data engineer related role, with proven experience of leading a complex data integration project. You will establish and embed best practices around end to end data pipelines and keep up to date with the latest developments in data engineering.
The role will work with third parties and the BI team to ensure development of a data lake solution, engaging with senior stakeholders within the institution. You will be comfortable conveying complex data engineering principles and will actively share knowledge within the BI team to build resilience and establish best practice.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed term basis for a period of 2 years due to the specialist experience nature of the contract. Applications are welcomed from candidates looking for part-time, job share hours and / or a flexible working pattern.
