The Plymouth Business School delivers excellence in business and management education across its portfolio. As an Associate Professor in Strategy and Operations Management at the University of Plymouth, you will be expected to contribute to, and as appropriate, lead the provision of outstanding research, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and knowledge transfer. At Plymouth, being an outstanding teacher and researcher involves ensuring that and programme delivery and research outputs enhance our learning environment, and contribute to a high-quality student experience. In this role you will also engage with the wider academic community, industry and professional bodies in the subject area as appropriate.
We are seeking two suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fulfil these important roles. We are looking for research and teaching expertise and experience in the broad field of Strategy and Operations Management to include all relevant areas such as business strategy, strategic management, international business, operations management, business decision making, services management, knowledge management, project management, supply chain management and management information systems.
You will be expected to take on Module Leader responsibility for undergraduate and/or postgraduate modules, and support the Strategy and Operations Discipline Group in developing and delivering its programme portfolio. It is anticipated that you will also become active members of a relevant Themed Research Group within the Institute for Social, Policy and Enterprise Research (iSPER). In this role you will also engage with the wider academic community, industry and professional bodies in the subject area as appropriate.
