The School of Psychology at the University of Plymouth is seeking to appoint two new academic staff to take up fixed-term appointments on 1 September 2019. Candidates with expertise in any area of Psychology are welcome, but we will give priority to those with expertise in Social Psychology or Applied Psychology.
The School's REF profile places it in the top third of psychology departments in the UK, with 83 percent of its research activity rated as internationally excellent or better. We have active research groups in Behaviour Change, Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Health and Well Being, Memory and Learning, and Social Psychology. The School houses an excellent suite of research laboratories, supported by a dedicated team of Technicians and Teaching and Research Associates. All these resources will be available to support the development of your research career.
It is anticipated that you will make a full contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and assessment, as well as contributing to the research activity of the School.
You will contribute to the teaching and pastoral support for our Undergraduate and Masters programme, as part of a strong and collegiate team. You will also have time within the role to advance your research career.
