We are looking for a dynamic and solutions-focused marketer who will help deliver strategic marketing plans that support the reputation and brand of the University. You will become part of our Marketing Office team, within the External Relations directorate. Working with academics at the top of their game, you will raise the profile of the inspiring research aligned to the three Strategic Research Institutes; Marine, Sustainable Earth and Health, all of which incorporate arts, humanities and business expertise.
We welcome that your honed organisational skills have underpinned your experience of producing and delivering operational marketing plans to deadline. You understand what makes a good campaign, the role of content, and why the audience is at the centre of what marketers do. You negotiate complex information and relationships with a high level of professionalism, calm manner and good humour. Incorporating the best digital and social media tactics is second nature to you, and your creative flair and persuasive copy translate to multiple platforms of communication. Your evaluation and analysis inform and optimise the next initiative.
In return, you will enjoy a working week in which no two days are the same. You will lead on your own projects in a supportive environment; marketing the research that is investigating solutions to some of the 21st Century’s biggest challenges, the University’s arts and culture agenda, and a growing programme of public engagement events with research. You will be actively encouraged to access the latest sector knowledge, develop skills that will enrich your work, whilst learning from, and working with, a team of professionals that extend right across the External Relations spectrum. We look forward to meeting you.
Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement.
