An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Research Fellow to join the Community and Primary Care Research Group within the Faculty of Heath: Medicine, Dentistry and Human Sciences. Research in this group is conducted through the involvement of practitioners, and the public, who are instrumental in helping to develop focused research questions and in designing projects.
We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher with experience of researching social prescribing, person-centred care and/or integrated health and social care systems, with a particular focus on engaging with the voluntary sector. The ideal candidate would demonstrate excellent communication and relationship building skills, experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods and evaluation methodologies, and an ability to be flexible and work autonomously. This job requires a mix of skills and behaviours both academic and inter-personal, particularly with regards to engagement to increase relevance and potential impact of the role.
As a Researcher in Residence you will be based in the Devon STP / NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (with support from the university), working with commissioners, voluntary sector providers, primary care and other referrers to social prescribing programmes to address the research questions. As such, you will be based in County Hall, Exeter (EX2 4QD) and required to travel regularly across North, Mid and East Devon.

This is a part-time position working 22.2 hours per week (0.6FTE) on a fixed-term basis for a period of 19 months due to funding.
