We wish to appoint a Building Surveyor (Projects) within the Estates and Facilities department, which consists of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be an enthusiastic individual and will work within an exciting environment with involvement in a variety of projects.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the Building Surveyor (Projects) role will provide specialist skill, knowledge and expertise, and contribute to the delivery of repair, refurbishment and new build projects. You will focus on the technical aspects of construction projects, support the management of external consultants and contractors.
You will work in partnership with stakeholders and other colleagues to deliver an effective customer focused service. You will be responsible for producing specifications, employer's requirements and monitoring construction activity. You will proactively manage project expenditure, resources, performance and provide accurate reporting.
We are seeking a highly motivated, positive and collaborative individual to join the team and it is anticipated that you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You will be based at and operate from the University's Plymouth City Centre Campus, however may on occasions be required to visit the other University campuses located throughout Devon and Cornwall.
