This is an exciting and challenging position and one that plays a key facilitation role in the service provided to our academic community.Working as part of team of dedicated Business Partners in support of the University's new ambitious Research and Innovation Strategy (2017-2022), you will be responsible for assisting the Faculties in the development and delivery of their strategic objectives. Based on a good knowledge of the funding landscape in the sector and the Faculties' requirements, you will assist academic colleagues to identify strategic development priorities; interpret and evaluate opportunities; and progress related projects. This will involve brokering in specialist advisors within the Directorate and elsewhere to ensure joined up solutions are enabled.This post is a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre individual with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills who has the drive and experience to match the institution's ambitions. You will be qualified at higher education level. A postgraduate qualification/experience is desirable. You must have the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with a range of customers/stakeholders, possess excellent communication skills and have experience of supporting the development of large collaborations and funding proposals preferably in a Higher Education environment.Possess advanced diagnostic skills and have experience of applying own knowledge and expertise in undertaking strategic analysis and evaluation. Ability to demonstrate substantial business planning skills and experience in the initiation and progression of funded new approaches, products and services.A team player with the ability to work independently and the capacity to work flexibly across the institution at various levels in different subject areas.This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
