South West National Collaborative Outreach Programme Officer (Finance)
Description
The SWNCOP Outreach Officer will support the central team outreach provision for the new South West National Collaborative Outreach Programme. This programme is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to encourage awareness of, and access to, Higher Education for identified individuals from target groups in schools where progression
to HE is low.
This is a unique opportunity to support the work of a collaboration of key stakeholders, comprising all the universities and FE/HE colleges in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You will assist in the delivery of core outreach projects, in line with strategy and direction from the SWNCOP Team Leader. Relationship-building with internal stakeholders is central to the role, in particular with the other SWNCOP Outreach Officers in the central team and those for Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. You will liaise with external stakeholders including partner organisations.
In addition to supporting SWNCOP outreach activities, the particular remit of this Outreach Officer post will be financial recording and monitoring for the project, ensuring that stakeholders fulfil their obligations of quarterly financial monitoring. You will process payments, monitor finances and ensure the smooth running of financial procedures. A high level of numeracy is required as well as an aptitude for financial record- keeping.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed term basis until December 2018.
