The University of Plymouth Careers Service is recruiting to a number of Careers and Employability Consultant roles. The Careers Service offers a comprehensive range of Faculty/School and centrally co-ordinated activities, opportunities and support for students to help them develop their skills and experiences in order to be successful in the world of work.
You will be responsible for the provision of careers and employability consultancy, including careers information, advice, expertise and guidance alongside supporting work-based learning and other employability interventions with the aim of raising the aspirations of students and ensuring their success.
You will work closely with academics in Faculties, Schools and Professional Services colleagues and act as a broker for careers and employability provision that holistically enable Faculties and Schools to achieve their aims. You will also connect students with University-wide wide initiatives, programmes and wider employability opportunities.

This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast paced and complex environment which requires you to demonstrate:
* Minimum level 6 qualification in Careers education, guidance and development * Experience of working in partnership with academic colleagues across a large and complex organisation to deliver careers education to both large numbers of students and individually (through guidance), preferably in a HE environment* Ability to incorporate a data-informed approach ensuring resource is focussed for maximum return on investment and student benefit* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and facilitation * Ability to work as part of a close team, seeking feedback and challenging yourself to constantly improve* Ability to act as positive advocate for change and to act as an ambassador for the whole Careers Service * Ability to self-manage and prioritise a number of competing demands* Flexibility, resilience and tenacity
